If you’ve been tagged to do a wedding toast, you want to do a great job. You not only want to do a great job because you’re going to be standing up in front of a lot of people. You want to do a good job because one of your very dearest friends has trusted you to speak about them on one of the more important days in their lives. Pressure much?
Tip: Start getting ready for the toast ahead of time. Even if you’re someone who likes to put things together at the last minute (Wedding Priestess is shuddering!) you still want to have the parts assembled before hand. Start thinking through all the stories you’ve accumulated with your friend and notice which one gives you the most pleasure and which is the one that tells the story of how you knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that you would be friends forever.
