Your Body, Your Food:

Ok, You’re getting married. The path to your wedding can be, shall we say, rocky and winding. When faced with this or any other overwhelming task, it seems like most of us fall into two categories. Either we don’t eat because we’re so busy that we just don’t have time to put one single bite into our mouths or we DO eat because we’re so nervous that we have to beat back the nerves with cake, fries, chocolate, wine, you name it, it goes in!

And the fact is, now when you’re living in stress, and I don’t care how carefully you’ve planned, you’re living in stress as you get ready to marry your sweetie, food is important. Food is fuel. Good food, good fuel will get you through this feeling healthy. The healthier you are, the less you will react to the stress.

The more healthy the food you eat, the less you will be pushed around by the stress.

Eat a balanced diet. Eat breakfast. Eat protein or a long lasting carb for breakfast rather than the favored sugar. Lower the caffeine intake… Lower your alcohol intake… did you know you lose an hour’s sleep for every glass of alcohol you drink a night? Trust me, this is not a time when you need LESS sleep.

And here’s a thought… share some good food with your beloved and DON’T talk about your wedding… talk instead about your work or how much you love one another. Imagine spending wonderful time with your beloved eating good healthy food that makes you feel great! And if you’re going to have alcohol or sugar, don’t waste it, have good stuff and savor it. Enjoy this process… eat well… and have a great old time!

You’re marrying your beloved. How cool is that?
