Well, oh my goodness. I’m so married! And I’m still swimming in richness! The day was spectacular. More about other parts later. But the connections are still what stands out.
Every bride is beautiful on her wedding day. I was certainly no exception to that rule. I was radiant with happiness. Look at the pictures. You could sit down and read the Sunday Times by the light on my face. I love Stevie Mitchell extraordinarily. And he loves me. And that’s enough to make anybody beautiful. He looked pretty darned spiffy and happy himself!
But I was also beautiful that day because people cared for me. They made my dress, lent me jewelry, massaged my back and painted my toes. They fetched and floofed and cooked and carted to and away. They designed and played and sang and danced. They contributed labor and cash and feathers.
They celebrated and boogied and cried. What more could any couple ask of the people who love them? Nothing. Nothing could have been better. I’m so glad I waited until I was 55 to fall in love with Stevie Mitchell. I might have enjoyed marriage a lot earlier. I could never have had a better wedding!
Girlfriends, We’ve got it all going on! It’s doable. It’s fabulous! I believe in us. And we sure deserve it!
