Leap Year

People have asked me what does it mean to get married on leap year day?

Well, what does it mean to YOU to get married on leap year day? Is it an important day in your life? Or only an oddity? Are you perhaps someone from whom your world would expect quirky behavior?

It’s true that you will only have one quarter the anniversaries (technically)… and that can be amusing. But you may not WANT to have a fourth of the anniversaries other people have. In that case you can celebrate them on the 28th of February or the 1st of March.

Since ritual is considered time outside of time, it’s sort of interesting to think about using a day that is time outside of time to celebrate your nuptials. (of course, if the 29th of February falls in the middle of the week, weddings that happen in the middle of the week often are less expensive, so that may be a reason… although they then carry with them the decisions about whether to ask your friends and family to take off work to celebrate your wedding.)

As with everything else with weddings… this is just one more choice about what will make your wedding perfect – for you!

Your love deserves nothing less!

Believing in you and your love,
Ann
